David Jobin

Prior to joining Our Fund Foundation as its President and CEO, David Jobin was the Executive Director of the Stonewall National Museum & Archives from 2013 – 2015. While at Stonewall, the organization launched the Stonewall Gallery on Wilton Drive placing the organization at the intersection of gay South Florida.

Prior to moving to Florida, David was the Executive Director of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC from 2009 – 2013. Before becoming active in LGBT causes professionally, David spent twenty years in theatre management, at Magic Theatre (San Francisco) and City Theatre Company (Pittsburgh, PA).

David performed with the Renaissance City Choirs in Pittsurgh, PA, Silicon Valley Gay Men’s Chorus in San Jose, CA, and the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus and was also a singing member of the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida. David currently serves on the board of Slow Burn Theatre.

David was selected as Person of the Year by South Florida Gay News in 2018 in recognition of the impact that Our Fund has made on South Florida’s LGBT community.

David currently resides in Wilton Manors with his husband, Angel Burgos.

Tony Lima

Tony Lima is a bilingual, LGBTQI advocate, political strategist, and nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience driving impactful advocacy campaigns and expanding support systems for underserved communities. He has led successful initiatives around governmental relations, nonprofit capacity building, and fundraising—most notably, playing a key role in the team that helped bring marriage equality to Florida in 2015.

As CEO of SunServe—South Florida’s leading LGBTQI-focused agency for mental health, housing, and social services—Tony oversees a team of 44 professionals serving over 4,000 clients annually. Under his leadership, the organization continues to grow its reach and deepen its impact across the region.

Tony’s leadership has been recognized at both the state and national levels. He was recently named one of South Florida’s Most Innovative and Influential Leaders by South Florida Business and Wealth Magazine and received the Apogee Award, honoring top CEOs in Florida. In 2022, he was honored with the National Hispanic Leader Award by the Honor 41 Foundation and was included on the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s list of the “50 Most Influential Hispanics in Florida.” His previous accolades include the Diversity Leadership Award from the Harvey Milk Foundation (2019) and the NFL/Miami Dolphins’ Leader of the Year Award (2018).

Tony is also a recognized media voice on LGBTQI issues, frequently sought after for commentary and analysis.

Nadine Smith

Nadine Smith is the Executive Director of Equality Florida, the state’s largest organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. In 2022, she was named to the Time100, TIME’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world

An award-winning journalist turned organizer, Nadine was one of four national co-chairs of the 1993 March on Washington. She was part of the historic meeting between then – President Clinton – the first Oval Office meeting between a sitting President and LGBTQ community leaders. She served on the founding board of the International Gay and Lesbian Youth Organization.

She is a Florida Chamber Foundation Trustee and served on President Obama’s National Finance Committee.

Nadine has been named one of the state’s “Most Powerful and Influential Women” by the Florida Diversity Council. She has received the League of Women Voters’ Woman of Distinction Award, in 2018 was named one of the 100 Most Influential Floridians by Influence Magazine. She currently serves as chair of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Florida Advisory Committee.

She lives in St. Petersburg with her wife Andrea and son Logan.

Stratton Pollitzer

Stratton is the Co-Founder and Deputy Director of Equality Florida and has co-led the organization since its inception in 1997. Recognized nationally as an expert in LGBTQ nonprofit development, Stratton pioneered programs that grew Equality Florida from one of the first LGBTQ groups in the South into the largest LGBTQ state-based advocacy group in the country. A former Montessori school principal and 4th generation educator, Stratton oversees Equality Florida’s Safe and Healthy Schools project, the largest LGBTQ safe schools program in any state in US history, which has trained over 40,000 principals, counselors and teachers from all 67 Florida school districts. A political science graduate of Emory University, Stratton is the recipient of the Harvey Milk Honors Medal. Stratton and his husband Christopher are the fathers of twins, Benjamin and Sarah, who are six months older than Equality Florida.

Nick Machuca

Nicholas Machuca is the Deputy Director of Development for Equality Florida, the state’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization. With a deep passion for advocacy and community building, Nick plays a pivotal role in advancing Equality Florida’s mission to secure full equality for LGBTQ Floridians through education, grassroots organizing, and legislative action.

Primarily in Miami, Nick’s work takes him across the state (and apparently to Switzerland), where he leads fundraising initiatives, cultivates donor relationships, and strategizes large-scale development efforts to support the organization’s programs. His expertise in nonprofit development has helped drive substantial growth in Equality Florida’s resources, ensuring the organization can continue its critical work in protecting and expanding LGBTQ rights.

Nick’s commitment to equality extends beyond fundraising—he is deeply involved in shaping outreach efforts, mobilizing supporters, and fostering connections with key stakeholders in Florida’s LGBTQ community. He is also a published writer, contributing articles to platforms like The Advocate, Watermark, and various Florida newspapers on issues ranging from LGBTQ activism to civic engagement and resistance in the face of political attacks. Whether orchestrating major fundraising galas, engaging with corporate and community partners, or working alongside activists and policymakers, Nick is dedicated to building a future where every young person in Florida is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.

When he’s not working to advance LGBTQ equality, Nick enjoys fitness, reading, traveling, and spending time with his husband and their rescue dogs.

Chris Caputo

Chris Caputo is a business leader, community advocate, and public servant with a deep passion for mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, arts & culture, and community development. Born in Buffalo, NY, and raised in Fort Myers, FL, Chris moved to the Greater Wilton Manors area in the early 2000s when he acquired KW Tanning, planting his roots in a community that would later become the heart of his activism and leadership.

A serial entrepreneur, Chris has founded, scaled, and sold multiple companies in the consumer services and technology sectors, successfully raising venture capital and securing multiple patents along the way. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and has dedicated his career to fostering innovation, economic growth, and community well-being.  

Chris’s deep involvement in advocacy began nearly 15 years ago, after being diagnosed with HIV, a turning point that inspired him to give back in a meaningful way. Since then, he has helped raise nearly half a million dollars for organizations such as The Pride Center, The SMART Ride, SunServe, and Plays of Wilton, championing for LGBTQ+ health, arts, and social services. He has driven economic development through his executive role on the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce board.  His leadership as Board Chair of The Pride Center at Equality Park was instrumental in developing The Residences at Equality Park, one of the nation’s first LGBTQ-affirming affordable senior housing communities—an enduring testament to his commitment to equity and inclusion and housing affordability.  

Chris actively serves on the boards of Plays of Wilton and the Wilton Manors Business Association and proudly co-chairs the SunServe Gala, raising critically needed funds for mental health and social services for the LGBTQ+ community. Having lost a partner to suicide, Chris is deeply committed to raising awareness around mental health and ensuring equitable access to care.

In 2022, Chris was elected as City Commissioner of Wilton Manors and re-elected in 2024, now serving as Vice Mayor. Never one to shy away from the spotlight when it matters most, he has taken a bold and visible stance against anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, organizing the  March in Heels and appearing in full drag at the Stonewall Parade to help defeat Florida’s anti-Pride Flag bill and stand up for LGBTQ+ culture.  

As the founder of Peak Fitness, helping people achieve physical transformations that go beyond aesthetics—fostering confidence, happiness, and well-being. He is also the co-founder and CEO of DevPartners, a digital marketing agency dedicated to helping businesses thrive in the digital age.

When he’s not leading in business or advocating for his community, Chris enjoys spending time with his partner, Roger Posey, and their three beloved dogs—Leo, Spartan, and Fusilli. He captains a recreational kickball team, participates in TriSports, and has even completed an Ironman in Australia, with another race on the horizon.

Chris has been recognized with leadership awards from many of the most regarded organizations in South Florida, including the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce GLBX, Our Fund, and the Dolphin Democrats. Every aspect of his life in Wilton Manors reflects his values. Chris Caputo is a relentless champion for progress, visibility, and community-driven change—always leading with heart, humor, and an unshakable commitment to making a difference.

Michael Gans

A resident of Wilton Manors, Michael Gans is an Author, Scholar, and advocate within our community.  Holding past roles with Kaiser University, the University of Victoria, and New School University/CUNY, Michael is an expert in Jewish learning and Holocaust Studies, with a special interest in LGBTQ+ individuals and the politics of homosexuality during World War II.  During our journey, Michael will speak on this fascinating chapter of our history and bring this subject forward to today, highlighting the new and unique challenges the LGBTQ+ population faces in the E.U.

While docked in Mannheim, Germany, Michael will also host a fascinating and enlightening panel conversation with lesbian, gay, and trans U.S. soldiers, their experience during their service to our country, as well as what their future holds in the armed forces.

Deborah Cox

Deborah Cox is a Grammy-nominated recording artist, Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, and international talent spanning music, Broadway, television, film, and fashion.

An established songstress, Cox has scaled the R&B and Pop charts with six top 20 Billboard R&B singles and an impressive thirteen No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Her sophomore album spawned 2 No. 1 R&B songs, including the record-breaking “Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here,” which spent 14 weeks at the top (the longest in history at the time), and “We Can’t Be Friends.”

In addition to her illustrious musical catalog, the Canadian-born star has been recognized for her undying commitment to various social justice initiatives. In 2020, Deborah was honored with the Black Music Honors’ Entertainer Icon Award for her 25 ground-breaking years in the music industry. A seasoned entertainer, both on-screen and off, Deborah is currently winning rave reviews for her roles on First Wives Club on Netflix’s Top 10 and Emmy-nominated HBO MAX’s series, Station Eleven.

In May 2022, Deborah reached a career milestone when she made history as the first Black woman inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The same year, Deborah was given the Key to the City of Toronto, and September 23rd declared Deborah Cox Day. She also received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, rounding off an incredible year.

Always giving back, in 2023, Deborah partnered with the youth-led movement Revolutionnaire to launch the “Beautiful U R” initiative to support women experiencing housing insecurity. Deborah is currently on Broadway starring as ‘Glinda’ and co-producing the revival of ‘The Wiz’ and just launched her new wine company, Kazaisu (kah-zy-sue).

Envy Peru

After two months of competing in the Dutch version of RuPaul’s Drag Race and winning four challenges, Envy Peru has made history as the first ever crowned contestant of Drag Race Holland, as well as the first Peruvian queen in the franchise to emerge supreme.

As reigning Queen, Envy Peru has not only achieved fame and publicity in the Netherlands but also worldwide; Drag Race Holland was broadcasted online and subtitled in four different languages.

Based in Amsterdam, Envy is known for her sweet personality, professional work, amazing performances, fashion style and make-up looks.

Since Envy Peru won Drag Race Holland she has been starring in many TV shows like “de Verraders”, “Gouden Televizier Ring” amongst many others, and she has been the head judge in Dutch TV show “Make Up Your Mind”, which is a huge success. Besides Dutch TV shows, she has been a judge in “Drag Race Spain” and did countless interviews with international press like Entertainment Weekly, Attitude Magazine, Magaly TV Peru and GayTimes New York just to name a few.

Envy tours like no other drag queen. With bookings in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Spain, Norway, Hungary, Mexico and Peru, she is here to stay. She also has two residencies in “the Amsterdam Drag Show” and “the Rotterdam Drag Show” where she is the leading lady of the show. In 2023, her work visa for the United States has been approved where she is touring multiple times a year.

Brands are also very interested in working with Envy Peru. She has her own limited make-up collection together with M.A.C. Cosmetics, which was released in June 2022. Other collaborations are with brands such as Booking.com, Mugler, Magnum, Google, Klarna, Sony Music, H&M, Victor & Rolf, YOOX Net a Porter and Crocs amongst others.

Janey Jacké

First Dutch drag queen to participate in the international version of RuPaul's Drag Race

Meet Janey Jacké! This talented queen stole the hearts of fans from all around the world during her participation in the first season of Drag Race Holland, and the first international All Stars season: RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs The World. In both seasons, Janey showed her ‘charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent’ and was very loved by the judges and the people at home. 

Janey is a gorgeous outspoken queen with a guarantee for loads of fun. From hosting shows, to blowing everyone away with her dancing skills, this queen can do it all! Besides being on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Janey also had a role in multiple Dutch movies and television shows like Make Up Your Mind where she is one of the permanent Drag judges. She also works together with renowned brands, like Steve Madden and T-Mobile. 

This multi-talented queen shines on stages all over the world. From the mainstage of Pride Amsterdam, to her residency at both the Rotterdam – & Amsterdam Drag Show and stages all over the UK, Europe and the United States, this queen is continuously traveling from one country to another. Janey is also known for her being well spoken on diversity, equity and inclusion topics. 

With her rising career, Janey is one of the most popular and requested queens in the Netherlands and abroad. Keep an eye out on her!

Danny Beard

Liverpool-born drag sensation Danny Beard reigns supreme as an electrifying show person and vocalist, leading a live music and comedy experience that fuses club kid aesthetics with classic drag performance style. Danny’s journey to stardom reached new heights after claiming victory as the season four champion of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, making history as the first bearded queen from any franchise worldwide to snatch the crown.

Since their monumental Drag Race win, Danny Beard has solidified their place as a seasoned entertainer, renowned for headlining Pride events and captivating audiences across the UK and internationally with as highlight having a daily residence at Sziget Festival.

Each event is a spectacle of comedy, song, and unapologetic camp, showcasing Danny’s exceptional vocal powers and magnetic stage presence.

Beyond the stage, Danny Beard’s influence extends into television and radio. They hosted The After Shave with Danny Beard on BBC Three, the spinoff of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, and have joined the BBC Radio 1 roster of presenters, bringing their infectious charm and curated playlists to the airwaves.

Other TV appearances include The Traitors: Uncloaked, Big Brother: Late & Live, and The Weakest Link, as well as holding a recurring cameo role on Hollyoaks.

As a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility, Danny uses their platform to celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity. They co-host a beloved podcast ‘The Gossip Gays’ and spearheaded projects like the BBC’s “Danny Beard On Same Sex Love and Marriage,” commemorating a decade of same-sex marriage in the UK.
